Congratulations to GHC Member Ambient Fuel. Last week, Ambient Fuels announced that they have closed on an agreement with leading sustainable infrastructure investor Generate Capital. Generate Capital has raised almost $4B in the last three years with a focus on sustainable infrastructure such as solar energy, renewable fuels, and vehicle electrification. As part of this transaction, Generate Capital has committed up to $250 million to grow Ambient Fuels' business. This funding will meet Ambient Fuels' equity needs for the next several years for both corporate and project needs, including the development and construction of green hydrogen production facilities.
Congratulations to GHC Member Energy Vault. On April 27, the CPUC approved PG&E's proposal for a hybrid battery energy storage and hydrogen fuel cell system that will provide power to a Northern California substation that is prone to wildfire-related electricity shutoffs. The 8.5 MW microgrid, which will be developed by Energy Vault, is expected to generate up to 293 MWh during a 48-hour period.
